أصدرت المديريّة العامّة لقوى الأمن الدّاخلي – شعبة العلاقات العامّة في لبنان اليوم (الخميس)، البلاغ التالي: «في إطار المتابعة المستمرّة التي تقوم بها قوى الأمن الدّاخلي لملاحقة المتورّطين بجرائم المخدّرات وتوقيفهم، للحدّ من انتشار هذه الآفّة في مختلف المناطق اللّبنانيّة، ونتيجة الجهود المشتركة بين الجيش اللبناني وقوى الأمن الداخلي، على إثر تبادل معلومات بين المديريّة العامّة لمكافحة المخدّرات في المملكة العربية السعودية ومكتب مكافحة المخدّرات المركزي في لبنان، نفّذت قوة من المجموعة الخاصّة والمكتب المذكور في وحدة الشرطة القضائيّة والقوّة الضاربة في شعبة المعلومات، بالتنسيق والمؤازرة من الجيش اللبناني، في محلة التل الأبيض- بعلبك عمليّة أمنيّة أسفرت عن ضبط معمل لتصنيع الكبتاغون وكمية من المخدرات وأسلحة ومواد محظورة».
فيما أكدت المديريّة العامّة لقوى الأمن الدّاخلي أن التحقيق جارٍ بإشراف القضاء المختص.
The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division in Lebanon issued the following statement today (Thursday): “As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to pursue those involved in drug-related crimes and apprehend them, in order to limit the spread of this scourge in various Lebanese regions, and as a result of the joint efforts between the Lebanese Army and the Internal Security Forces, following the exchange of information between the General Directorate for Drug Control in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Central Drug Control Office in Lebanon, a force from the special group and the aforementioned office in the Judicial Police Unit and the Strike Force in the Information Division, in coordination and support from the Lebanese Army, carried out a security operation in the Al-Tall Al-Abyad area in Baalbek that resulted in the seizure of a Captagon manufacturing facility, a quantity of drugs, weapons, and prohibited materials.”
The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces confirmed that an investigation is underway under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
