القطاع الرياضي في المملكة شهد تحولاً كبيراً مقارنة بالسنوات الماضية، حيث لم تكن بعض الألعاب تمتلك اتحاداً رياضياً معنياً بها أو أي ممارسة منظمة، إذ أصبحت المملكة اليوم، تضم نحو 97 اتحاداً رياضياً، إضافة إلى منشآت وبُنى تحتية يجري تطويرها ضمن أهداف رؤية 2030، حيث أصبحت هذه الفرص متاحة لجميع فئات المجتمع بفضل جهود الجهات الرسمية، وستُصنع بسواعد الشباب، ليس فقط على مستوى المنافسات الرياضية، بل أيضاً في المجالات المرتبطة بالقطاع مثل الإدارة، والتمويل، والتسويق، وغيرها من التخصصات الداعمة، لتحويلها إلى واقع ملموس من خلال طاقات الشباب وهمتهم، بما يسهم في تعزيز مكانة المملكة وترسيخ حضورها في المشهد الرياضي الإقليمي والدولي.
قرار تاريخي
صدور موافقة مجلس الوزراء على نظام الرياضة، الذي يهدف إلى تنظيم القطاع الرياضي في المملكة، بما يسهم في تحقيق مستهدفاته، لتعزز مسيرة تطويره، بما يواكب مكانة المملكة وطموحاتها الكبيرة، إذ يأتي هذا النظام ليؤسس إطاراً تنظيمياً حديثاً، يرفع من كفاءة القطاع الرياضي، ويكرس مفاهيم الحوكمة، ويتيح فرصاً واعدة للاستثمار وتنمية المواهب، وتطوير البيئة التنظيمية، بما يدعم الارتقاء بالإدارة الرياضية، وتحسين جودة العمل المؤسسي، إضافة إلى تحفيز الاستثمار الرياضي، عبر توفير آليات نظامية وميسرة، تعزز جاذبية الاستثمار في القطاع الرياضي.
توطين المهن
بدء تطبيق قرار توطين 12 مهنة من بينها (مدرب رياضي، ومدرب كرة قدم محترف، ومشرف رياضي، ومدرب رياضي خاص، ومدرب ألعاب قوى محترف) في المراكز والصالات الرياضية بالقطاع الخاص بنسبة 15%، على المنشآت التي يعمل بها أربعة عاملين فأكثر، اعتباراً من تاريخ 8/6/1448 الموافق 18/11/2026، حيث يأتي هذا القرار ضمن المساعي الهادفة إلى توفير مزيدٍ من فرص العمل المحفزة والمُنتجة للمواطنين والمواطنات في مختلف مناطق المملكة، لتسهم في الوصول إلى بيئة أكثر احترافية في المنشآت الرياضية.
مليار ونصف مشاهدة للدورة الإسلامية
سجّلت حسابات دورة ألعاب التضامن الإسلامي بنسختها السادسة التي استضافتها الرياض، وجاءت فيها المنتخبات السعودية بالمركز الرابع بـ(18 ذهبية، 12 فضية، 27 برونزية)، التي شارك فيها أكثر من ثلاثة آلاف رياضي يمثلون 57 دولة، تنافسوا في 23 رياضة. وفي مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي حضور رقمي غير مسبوق، بعدما تجاوز إجمالي ظهور المنشورات 1.5 مليار ظهور عبر منصات (إكس وإنستغرام وسناب شات وفيسبوك ولينكد إن)، وجاء هذا التفاعل الضخم نتيجة النشر المستمر باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية، ما عزّز وصول المحتوى إلى جماهير واسعة داخل العالم الإسلامي وخارجه.
ألقاب وحضور عالمي للأخضر
تعيش الكرة السعودية فترة زاخرة بالإنجازات على مستوى المنتخبات في جميع الفئات، حيث سجلت جميع الفئات السنية للمنتخبات السعودية إنجازات خلال فترة وجيزة خمسة ألقاب والتأهل لمونديال (الكبار والشباب والناشئين)، إذ كانت البداية في سبتمبر الماضي، عندما توج المنتخب السعودي تحت 19 عاماً بلقب بطولة كأس الخليج للشباب تحت 20 عاماً بعد الفوز على اليمن في المباراة النهائية بنتيجة 3-1، وفي أقل من شهر كانت الكرة السعودية على موعد مع لقب جديد عندما توج المنتخب السعودي تحت 17 عاماً بلقب بطولة كأس الخليج للناشئين بعد فوزه على الإمارات بهدفين نظيفين في المباراة النهائية، وجاء تأهل المنتخب السعودي الأول في 14 أكتوبر الماضي إلى نهائيات كأس العالم 2026 للمرة الثالثة على التوالي والسابعة في تاريخه، ليزين هذا التأهل سلسلة إنجازات الكرة السعودية في الفترة الأخيرة، وتوج المنتخب السعودي تحت 16 عاماً ببطولة غرب آسيا تحت 17 عاماً، فيما توج منتخب تحت 19 عاماً بلقب كأس الخليج للشباب تحت 20 عاماً، وهو ما يعكس المستويات المميزة للاعبين السعوديين في هذه الفئات، ولم تتوقف الإنجازات عند هذا الحد؛ إذ توج المنتخب الأولمبي ببطولة كأس الخليج بعد فوزه على العراق بنتيجة 2-0.
24 ميدالية في الأولمبياد الخاص
حققت منتخبات المملكة المكونة من 85 لاعباً ولاعبة، في دورة الألعاب العالمية للأولمبياد الخاص التي أقيمت في العاصمة الألمانية برلين بتحقيق 24 ميدالية (7 ذهبيات، 6 فضيات، 11 برونزية)، إذ سجلت الإنجازات خلال 15 رياضة.
5 ميداليات عالمية لـ«أخضر الملاكمة»
حقق الملاكم السعودي البراء العامودي ذهبية بطولة العالم للكبار للملاكمة التايلندية في فئة تحت 23 عاماً لوزن 57 كيلوغراماً ضمن بطولة العالم التي نظمها الاتحاد الدولي للملاكمة التايلندية في اليونان بمشاركة أكثر من 80 دولة، ويعد إنجاز «العامودي» هو الأول من نوعه باسم المملكة العربية السعودية في رياضة الملاكمة التايلندية «فئة الرجال»، عقب فوز البراء العامودي على نظيره الروسي «إيغور» بنتيجة 29-28، وحقق باقي لاعبي المنتخب أربع ميداليات عن طريق علي الناصر «الميدالية الذهبية»، واللاعب عبدالله الدوسري «الميدالية البرونزية»، واللاعب محسن الصبياني «برونزية»، كما حققت اللاعبة أثير البركة «الميدالية البرونزية».
17ميدالية لأخضر الطاولة
حققت بعثة المنتخب السعودي لكرة الطاولة إنجازاً رياضياً كبيراً خلال مشاركتها في بطولة غرب آسيا في الأردن، حيث حصلت على 17 ميدالية متنوعة؛ تشمل 8 ميداليات ذهبية، وفضيتين، و7 ميداليات برونزية، في حصيلة تعد الأكبر على مدار تاريخ إقامة هذه البطولة، التي شهدت مشاركة 220 لاعباً ولاعبة من 12 دولة، تنافسوا في كافة الفئات العمرية، بما في ذلك الرجال، السيدات، الشباب، الشابات، الناشئون، الناشئات، والأشبال.
The sports sector in the Kingdom has witnessed a significant transformation compared to previous years, as some sports did not have a dedicated sports federation or any organized practice. Today, the Kingdom boasts around 97 sports federations, in addition to facilities and infrastructure being developed as part of Vision 2030 objectives. Historic Decision
The approval of the Cabinet for the Sports Law, which aims to organize the sports sector in the Kingdom, contributes to achieving its objectives and enhances its development journey, in line with the Kingdom’s status and its great ambitions. This law establishes a modern regulatory framework that enhances the efficiency of the sports sector, enshrines governance concepts, and provides promising opportunities for investment and talent development, improving the regulatory environment to support the advancement of sports management and the quality of institutional work, in addition to stimulating sports investment by providing systematic and facilitated mechanisms that enhance the attractiveness of investment in the sports sector.
Localization of Professions
The implementation of the decision to localize 12 professions, including (sports coach, professional football coach, sports supervisor, private sports coach, and professional athletics coach) in private sector sports centers and halls at a rate of 15%, applies to establishments with four or more employees, starting from 8/6/1448 corresponding to 18/11/2026. This decision is part of efforts aimed at providing more stimulating and productive job opportunities for citizens in various regions of the Kingdom, contributing to achieving a more professional environment in sports establishments.
1.5 Billion Views for the Islamic Solidarity Games
The accounts of the sixth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games, hosted in Riyadh, recorded that the Saudi teams ranked fourth with (18 gold, 12 silver, 27 bronze), with more than three thousand athletes representing 57 countries competing in 23 sports. On social media, there was an unprecedented digital presence, with total post impressions exceeding 1.5 billion across platforms (X, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and LinkedIn). This massive interaction resulted from continuous posting in both Arabic and English, which enhanced the content’s reach to a wide audience inside and outside the Islamic world.
Titles and Global Presence for the Green
Saudi football is experiencing a rich period of achievements at the level of national teams across all categories, as all age categories of Saudi national teams have recorded achievements in a short period, winning five titles and qualifying for the World Cup (seniors, youth, and juniors). The journey began last September when the Saudi U-19 team won the Gulf Cup for U-20 youth after defeating Yemen in the final match with a score of 3-1. Less than a month later, Saudi football was set for another title when the Saudi U-17 team won the Gulf Cup for juniors after defeating the UAE with two clean goals in the final match. The senior national team’s qualification on October 14 for the 2026 World Cup marked the third consecutive time and the seventh in its history, embellishing this qualification with a series of recent achievements in Saudi football. The Saudi U-16 team won the West Asian Championship for U-17, while the U-19 team won the Gulf Cup for U-20 youth, reflecting the outstanding levels of Saudi players in these categories. The achievements did not stop there; the Olympic team won the Gulf Cup after defeating Iraq 2-0.
24 Medals in the Special Olympics
The Kingdom’s teams, consisting of 85 male and female athletes, achieved 24 medals (7 gold, 6 silver, 11 bronze) at the Special Olympics World Games held in the German capital, Berlin, with achievements recorded across 15 sports.
5 World Medals for the “Green Boxing”
Saudi boxer Al-Baraa Al-Amoudi won the gold medal at the World Championship for adults in Muay Thai in the under-23 category for the 57 kg weight class during the championship organized by the International Federation of Muay Thai in Greece, with participation from over 80 countries. Al-Amoudi’s achievement is the first of its kind for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in men’s Muay Thai, following his victory over the Russian counterpart “Igor” with a score of 29-28. The other team members secured four medals, including Ali Al-Nasser with a gold medal, Abdullah Al-Dosari with a bronze medal, and Mohsen Al-Sabiani with a bronze medal, while athlete Atheer Al-Barakah also won a bronze medal.

The Saudi table tennis team achieved a significant sports accomplishment during its participation in the West Asian Championship in Jordan, where it won 17 diverse medals, including 8 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals, marking the largest tally in the history of this championship, which saw participation from 220 male and female players from 12 countries competing in all age categories, including men, women, youth, girls, juniors, and children.
