ألمح مسؤولون إندونيسيون إلى أن انفجارات هزت مسجدًا داخل مجمع مدرسي في منطقة كيلابا غادينغ بشمال جاكرتا، عاصمة إندونيسيا، أثناء صلاة الجمعة، قد تكون عملية هجومية متعمدة، مع تحديد شاب يبلغ من العمر 17 عامًا كمشتبه به رئيسي.
وبحسب وكالة«رويترز» أفادت الشرطة بأن 55 شخصًا نقلوا إلى المستشفيات مصابين بجروح متنوعة تتراوح بين الطفيفة والخطيرة، بما في ذلك حروق، عقب الانفجارين اللذين وقعا داخل المسجد.
ووصف شهود عيان المشهد بالفوضوي، حيث سادت حالة من الذعر الشديد بين المصلين والعاملين في المجمع.
وروت لوشيانا، البالغة 43 عامًا والتي كانت تعمل في كافتيريا المدرسة وقت الحادث: «كان الانفجار هائلًا جدًا، لدرجة أنني لم أتمكن من التنفس من شدة الصدمة».
وأضافت: «سمعت انفجارات متعددة، واندفع عشرات الأشخاص نحو الخارج في حالة هلع تام. اعتقدت في البداية أنه انفجار كهربائي أو انفجار في نظام الصوت، لكن الخوف دفعنا للفرار فورًا».
وفي تصريح لوسائل الإعلام بعد زيارته أحد المستشفيات، أكد نائب رئيس مجلس النواب سفمي داسكو أحمد، أن المشتبه به الشاب يخضع حاليًا لعملية جراحية، دون الكشف عن تفاصيل إضافية أو دوافع محتملة للحادث.
وعقد قائد شرطة مدينة جاكرتا، أسيب إيدي سوهري، مؤتمرًا صحفيًا أعلن فيه عن إجراءات فورية للتحقيق.
وقال: «اتخذنا عدة خطوات أمنية، بما في ذلك فحص موقع الجريمة بدقة، وفرض طوق أمني حول المنطقة، وتطهيرها بالكامل لضمان السلامة».
وفي موقع الحادث، انتشرت قوات الشرطة المسلحة بملابس سوداء لحراسة البوابات الحديدية للمجمع، بينما تواجدت سيارات الطوارئ والمركبات المدرعة في الشوارع المحيطة.
يقع المجمع في منطقة مزدحمة بشمال جاكرتا، على أرض تابعة في الغالب للبحرية، ويسكنه العديد من العسكريين والضباط المتقاعدين.
Indonesian officials hinted that explosions shook a mosque inside a school complex in the Kelapa Gading area of North Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, during Friday prayers, which may be a deliberate attack, with a 17-year-old identified as the main suspect.
According to Reuters, the police reported that 55 people were taken to hospitals with various injuries ranging from minor to serious, including burns, following the two explosions that occurred inside the mosque.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with a state of extreme panic prevailing among the worshippers and workers in the complex.
Luciana, 43, who was working in the school cafeteria at the time of the incident, recounted: “The explosion was so huge that I couldn’t breathe from the shock.”
She added: “I heard multiple explosions, and dozens of people rushed outside in a complete state of panic. I initially thought it was an electrical explosion or a blast from the sound system, but fear made us flee immediately.”
In a statement to the media after visiting one of the hospitals, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sefmi Dasco Ahmad, confirmed that the young suspect is currently undergoing surgery, without disclosing additional details or possible motives for the incident.
Jakarta Police Chief Asip Eddy Suheri held a press conference in which he announced immediate measures for investigation.
He said: “We have taken several security steps, including thoroughly examining the crime scene, imposing a security cordon around the area, and completely clearing it to ensure safety.”
At the scene of the incident, armed police in black uniforms were deployed to guard the iron gates of the complex, while emergency vehicles and armored cars were present on the surrounding streets.
The complex is located in a busy area of North Jakarta, on land mostly belonging to the navy, and is home to many military personnel and retired officers.
