«عليك أن تسأل النادي عن كريم بنزيما»، بهذه العبارة رد مدرب الاتحاد كونسيساو على استفسار أحد الإعلاميين حول غياب قائد فريقه عقب تعادل الاتحاد أمام الفتح بنتيجة 2-2 في المباراة التي جمعتهما على ملعب ميدان تمويل الأولى بالأحساء، ضمن منافسات الجولة الـ(19) من الدوري السعودي للمحترفين لكرة القدم (دوري روشن)، إذ سجّل الاتحاد هدفه الأول عن طريق صالح الشهري عند الدقيقة (25)، قبل أن يتمكن الفتح من تعديل النتيجة عبر مراد باتنا من ركلة جزاء عند الدقيقة (74)، ليعود الشهري ويضيف الهدف الثاني للاتحاد من ركلة جزاء عند الدقيقة (84)، وفي الوقت بدل الضائع أدرك الفتح التعادل عن طريق ماتياس فارغاس عند الدقيقة (90+9)، لينتهي اللقاء بالتعادل الإيجابي بهدفين لكل فريق، وأضاف: «أنا هنا للتدريب، والاستعداد للمباريات التي سأخوضها، وتحقيق النتائج، والفوز بالألقاب، أما الباقي فهو خارج نطاق وظيفتي»، وأنهى حديثه بقوله: «ما أستطيع قوله هو أن كريم لاعب محترف ممتاز، ولاعب رائع أفتخر بتدريبه».
يذكر أن الاتحاد رفع رصيده إلى 31 نقطة في المرتبة السادسة، فيما وصل رصيد الفتح إلى 22 نقطة في المرتبة التاسعة بجدول الترتيب.

It is worth noting that Al-Ittihad raised their points to 31, ranking sixth, while Al-Fateh reached 22 points, ranking ninth in the standings.
