لقي اتفاق تبادل الأسرى بين الأطراف اليمنية ارتياحاً وترحيباً قي أوساط المكونات السياسية والحزبية اليمنية والدول الداعمة للعملية السياسية والوسيطة وفي مقدمتها المملكة العربية السعودية.
وكتب سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين في اليمن محمد سعيد آل جابر على حسابه في «إكس»: بتوجيهات ومتابعة القيادة في المملكة وبتوجيهات من وزير الدفاع، وبالتعاون مع الحكومة اليمنية، وبجهود كريمة ومساعٍ صادقة ومقدرة من سلطنة عمان، وقعت اتفاقية لتبادل المحتحزين في اليمن تحت إشراف مكتب المبعوث الأممي الخاص لليمن واللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر والتي ستمكن كل المحتجزين من العودة إلى أسرهم.
ونوه آل جابر بجهود فريقي التفاوض من الطرفين الذين نجحوا في التفاهم والتوصل إلى هذا الاتفاق الذي يعالج قضية ذات بعد إنساني، ما يعزز من جهود التهدئة وبناء الثقة في اليمن.
بدوره، رحب المتحدث باسم المقاومة الوطنية صادق دويد بالاتفاق على المرحلة الجديدة من إطلاق سراح الأسرى والمعتقلين الذي توصل إليه الاجتماع العاشر للجنة الإشرافية المعنية بتنفيذ اتفاقية إطلاق سراح الأسرى والمعتقلين برئاسة مشتركة بين مكتب المبعوث الخاص للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إلى اليمن واللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر وذلك في العاصمة العمانية.
وشدد دويد على ضرورة الالتزام بمواعيد التنفيذ، مؤكداً أن هذه الخطوة المهمة دعت إليها المقاومة الوطنية وسعت بخطوات عملية للوصول إلى تنفيذها تخفيفاً لمعاناة الأسرى والمعتقلين وعائلاتهم.
The prisoner exchange agreement between the Yemeni parties has been met with satisfaction and welcome among the political and party components in Yemen, as well as the countries supporting the political process and mediation, foremost among them the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Yemen, Mohammed Saeed Al-Jaber, wrote on his account on “X”: “Under the directives and follow-up of the leadership in the Kingdom, and under the guidance of the Minister of Defense, in cooperation with the Yemeni government, and with the generous efforts and sincere and appreciated endeavors of the Sultanate of Oman, an agreement was signed for the exchange of detainees in Yemen under the supervision of the Office of the Special Envoy of the UN for Yemen and the International Committee of the Red Cross, which will enable all detainees to return to their families.”
Al-Jaber highlighted the efforts of the negotiating teams from both sides who succeeded in understanding and reaching this agreement, which addresses a humanitarian issue, thereby enhancing efforts for de-escalation and building trust in Yemen.
For his part, the spokesman for the National Resistance, Sadiq Dwaid, welcomed the agreement on the new phase of releasing prisoners and detainees that was reached during the tenth meeting of the supervisory committee concerned with implementing the agreement for the release of prisoners and detainees, co-chaired by the Office of the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General to Yemen and the International Committee of the Red Cross, held in the Omani capital.
Dwaid emphasized the necessity of adhering to the implementation timelines, confirming that this important step was called for by the National Resistance and that it has taken practical steps to achieve its implementation, alleviating the suffering of prisoners, detainees, and their families.
