قضت محكمة الجنايات الكويتية بحبس سلمان الخالدي لمدة 15 سنة مع الشغل والنفاذ، مع إبعاده عن البلاد عقب تنفيذ العقوبة، وذلك في قضية تتعلق بأمن الدولة.
وأدانت المحكمة الخالدي بعدة تهم، أبرزها الطعن عمداً في سلطة أمير البلاد عبر حسابه على منصة «X»، إضافة إلى الإساءة باستخدام وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي.
إلا أن الخالدي انكر التهم الموجهة إليه وطلب محاميه أجلاً للاطلاع والتصوير.
كما قضت بتغريم متهم ثان في القضية نفسها بمبلغ ألف دينار، وأمرت بحجب الوسيلة الإعلامية الإلكترونية بمنصة التواصل الاجتماعي «إنستغرام» نهائياً وأمرت بمحو وإعدام مقطع الفيديو والصور والعبارات المتحصل عليها.
عمل عدائي ضد دولة شقيقة
وأسند إلى المتهم الأول أنه «عاب علنا عن طريق الرسوم والصور في الذات الأميرية وتطاول على مسند الإمارة، كما قام بعمل عدائي ضد دولة شقيقة مما يعرض الكويت لقطع العلاقات السياسية، كما نشر عن طريق الشبكة المعلوماتية وباستخدام وسيلة من وسائل تقنية المعلومات ما من شأنه المساس بكرامة المجني عليه» رئيس الجهاز المركزي لمعالجة أوضاع المقيمين بصورة غير قانونية.
وأسندت المحكمة إلى المتهم الثاني أنه نشر مقاطع الفيديو المسيئة التي أعدها المتهم الأول.
ليست القضية الأولى
ويأتي هذا الحكم امتداداً لسجل قضائي حافل، إذ سبق لمحكمة الجنايات أن أيدت في مايو 2025 حكماً بسجن سلمان الخالدي خمس سنوات بعد إدانته بجريمة الإساءة للذات الأميرية ونشر أخبار كاذبة.
وكانت وزارة الداخلية في دولة الكويت، أعلنت في مايو الماضي أن قطاع الأمن الجنائي بالوزارة ممثلاً بإدارة «الإنتربول»، بالتعاون الدولي وتنسيق الجهود بين الدول الشقيقة تمكن من ضبط المتهم سلمان الخالدي، خارج الكويت والذي كان قد صدر بحقه 11 حكماً بالحبس واجب النفاذ، والمعمم عنه عربياً ودولياً اعتباراً من 4/12/2023 بناء على ذمة أحكام قضائية، كما تم إرسال تعميم إلى جميع الدول لضبطه وتسليمه إلى دولة الكويت.
القبض على المتهم بالعراق
وأشارت «الداخلية الكويتية» إلى أن المتهم تم رصده داخل العراق، حيث شُكل على الفور فريق أمني متخصص من إدارة الشرطة الجنائية العربية والدولية (الإنتربول) للتنسيق مع السلطات العراقية والسفارة الكويتية في العراق، وبفضل التعاون الوثيق بين الجانبين تم ضبط المتهم سلمان الخالدي قبل أن يتمكن من الهروب، وتسليمه إلى دولة الكويت لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية بحقه.
The Kuwaiti Criminal Court sentenced Salman Al-Khalidi to 15 years in prison with hard labor, to be served immediately, along with his expulsion from the country after serving the sentence, in a case related to state security.
The court convicted Al-Khalidi on several charges, the most prominent of which was deliberately insulting the authority of the Emir of the country through his account on the platform “X,” in addition to abusing social media.
However, Al-Khalidi denied the charges against him and his lawyer requested a postponement to review and photograph the documents.
The court also fined a second defendant in the same case 1,000 dinars, ordered the permanent closure of the electronic media outlet on the social media platform “Instagram,” and ordered the deletion and destruction of the video clips, images, and statements obtained.
Hostile acts against a sister state
The first defendant was accused of “publicly mocking the royal authority through drawings and images and insulting the Emirate, as well as committing hostile acts against a sister state that could expose Kuwait to a severance of political relations. He also published, via the information network and using a means of information technology, content that could harm the dignity of the victim,” the head of the Central Authority for the Treatment of Illegal Residents.
The court charged the second defendant with publishing the offensive video clips prepared by the first defendant.
Not the first case
This ruling is part of a lengthy judicial record, as the Criminal Court had previously upheld a five-year prison sentence for Salman Al-Khalidi in May 2025 after convicting him of insulting the royal authority and spreading false news.
The Ministry of Interior in the State of Kuwait announced last May that the Criminal Security Sector of the ministry, represented by the “Interpol” department, in international cooperation and coordination of efforts among sister countries, was able to apprehend the defendant Salman Al-Khalidi outside Kuwait, who had been sentenced to 11 prison terms that were enforceable, and was wanted both regionally and internationally as of 4/12/2023 based on judicial rulings. A notice was also sent to all countries to apprehend him and hand him over to the State of Kuwait.
Arrest of the defendant in Iraq
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior indicated that the defendant was tracked down inside Iraq, where a specialized security team from the Arab and International Criminal Police (Interpol) was immediately formed to coordinate with the Iraqi authorities and the Kuwaiti embassy in Iraq. Thanks to the close cooperation between the two sides, the defendant Salman Al-Khalidi was apprehended before he could escape and was handed over to the State of Kuwait to complete the legal proceedings against him.
